Chapter Officers are elected or retained at the annual membership meeting (August). If a volunteer steps in mid-term their retention in that role is voted on at the annual membership meeting.  All chapter officers must be members in good standing of both Kansas City Chapter and IIBA International before assuming the responsibilities of the role.

Cecelia Walsh, MBA

With more than 20 years combined experience in business architecture, business analysis, project management, product ownership, and product management spanning the industries of finance, banking, government, insurance, and healthcare technology. Cecelia has been an IIBA member since 2013 joining the Kansas City Chapter leadership team in 2017 as Professional Development Director and increasing her responsibilities as Vice President in 2018. Cecelia is also actively engaged in her son's Boy Scout troop and local church choir. In her spare time, Cecelia enjoys hiking, biking, or kayaking with her family and long strolls with her fur-baby, Mallory.
 

Vice President (VP) Communications & Marketing

Bill Cox, MBA, CBAP

Bill has 25+ years of experience in multiple information technology roles with companies large and small. Bill is a Product Manager with Leahy Consulting, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. For the last several years, Bill has focused on ERP system implementation and development in a manufacturing environment, as a SME in Plex Manufacturing Cloud and Epicor ERP. He received the CBAP certification in October 2021 and has been a member of the Kansas City Chapter of the IIBA for three years. In his spare time, Bill enjoys working on and driving his little red Corvette, playing piano for fun and worship, and enjoying the empty nest lifestyle with his wife, Tina.
 

Secretary

Jen Tubbesing,  PMP

Jen is an IT Recruiter in Overland Park, KS. She has 15 years of project management experience, earned her PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and has worked in a wide variety of industries, including restaurant management, Fintech, construction, non-profit business management, event planning, and fundraising, physician continuing education, and law. In her free time, Jen is an amateur world championship-level pool player.

Treasurer

Sherri Nowak, CBAP

Sherri is a Functional Analyst at TVH Parts in Olathe, Kan., and has been a Business Analyst for more than 20 years. Over her career, she has worked in the healthcare, finance, engineering and logistics industries. She received her CBAP in 2009. She has been a member of the IIBA since 2009 and has volunteered with the IIBA as a contributing author for BABOK version 3, worked on the Role Delineation Committee to help develop certification tests and has most recently assisted with the rewrite of the Business Analysis Standards. She also teaches business analysis courses at UCLA. When not working, Sherri prefers to spend her time outdoors and on trails. When inside, she'll read, draw, assemble Lego sets, or crochet.

Professional Development Director

Melissa Droege

Melissa is currently serving in a Business Analyst/Tester role at Mainstream Nonprofit Solutions, where she has worked for the last two years. Before her current role, Melissa spent 32 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield and held a Business Analyst role with that company for 12 years. She joined the Kansas City Chapter in 2022. Melissa has 2 adult boys and a 14-year-old daughter who is active in competition cheer and softball. She also has 5 grandsons that keep her busy.

Technology Director

Ana Duncan

Ana has over 20 years of experience in software development on projects involving both Waterfall and Agile methodologies as a Java software developer. During the last 5 years as a developer, Ana realized it was time to branch out and do something more aligned with her social and analytical skills. She felt that Business Analysis would allow her to bridge the business and technology worlds. In her free time, Ana enjoys walking in the park, listening to Latin music, and spending time with her daughter and pet bird.

Events Director

Desiree Bosch, PMP, CSM

Desiree is a leader with expertise in strategic and tactical planning, organizational alignment, change management, conflict resolution, and program, process, and people management. In 2016, she founded Congruent Connections, a fractional COO (Chief Operating Officer) business, that evaluates current operations, defines strategies and processes to help  increase revenue and improve valuation. Her education and certifications include a Bachelor of Science in Management of Computer Information Systems from Park University, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance. Desiree and her family also manage a small farm in Pleasant Hill, MO.  She enjoys hiking and reading when not working.

Brian Hattaway

Brian has more than 30 years of IT and consulting industry experience. His unique ability to blend technical architecture with process improvement techniques and Salesforce.com platform capabilities make him an invaluable resource to his clients. His career spanned 12 years at Accenture, after which he founded ProCore Resource Group to continue providing technology consulting with a "process first" proprietary methodology. Brian has also founded a software products company, IOLITE Solutions, which is focused on developing and delivering elegant product solutions for customers on the Salesforce.com platform. In his spare time, Brian can be found following his kids as they play competitive video games or NCAA Division I beach volleyball.

Emillee Hargus, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFeĀ® 6 Scrum Master

Emillee is a Sr. Agile Business Systems Analyst consultant for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). She specializes in fostering data-driven decisions and Agile thinking to elevate business outcomes. Her career began in finance at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she held roles like Associate Process Manager and Associate Service Strategy Operations Analyst I, focusing on process improvement, execution strategy, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management. She then transitioned to the insurance industry as a Scrum Master, advocating for Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, and SAFe. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, mountain biking, or hiking with her two Aussies..
