Chapter Officers are elected or retained at the annual membership meeting (August). If a volunteer steps in mid-term their retention in that role is voted on at the annual membership meeting.  All chapter officers must be members in good standing of both Kansas City Chapter and IIBA International before assuming the responsibilities of the role.

Tamara Copple, MBA, CBAP, A-CSPO

Tamara Copple is cofounder and Lead Business Consultant for Grand River Analytics and a product owner for international nonprofit Children International. She is a speaker and community organizer for multiple professional groups. Always a business analyst at heart, Tamara mentors tech and tech-adjacent professionals in mastering their craft so that they can achieve better results for themselves and their teams.
 
Tamara is a long-time member and leader of IIBA. She served on the Kansas City Chapter’s Board of Directors as Technology Director (2017-2018), Chapter President (2019-2021), Regional Director, Americas Southeast Region (2023-2024), and, most recently, Advisor (2025).

Marketing Director

Phynice Kelley, MPM

Phynice is currently working as a Senior Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst Consultant with Tek Systems Global/Southern Company. She is a business analyst through and through, and brings more than 15 years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance in the information technology and utility industries.
 
Throughout her career, Phynice has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision and is committed to excellence. She has extensive experience in system and business requirements analysis, requirements gathering, data creation and analysis, test and user story creation/test design, test phase creation and management, and end user training. As an avid learner, she is looking forward to bringing activities to KC IIBA that will provide useful and practical information on emerging trends in business analysis, quality assurance, AI, and data analytics. 
 
Phynice holds a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Master’s in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Outside of work, she loves volunteering with Junior Achievement, traveling and spending time participating with her daughters in Girl Scouts.

Julie Russell, CBA, MS

Julie brings over 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate complexity, make clear decisions, and turn strategy into meaningful outcomes. She has built her career around aligning diverse stakeholders, improving processes, and using data to create transparency and drive measurable impact.

As a long-time advocate for the Business Analysis profession, Julie believes strong communities are built through shared learning and collaboration. She is committed to growing the Kansas City Chapter in a way that reflects how people work today—whether they identify as BAs, Product Owners, Analysts, or simply professionals who solve problems and lead change.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Communication and a Master’s in Adult Learning, Training, and Development. Outside of work, she’s an avid cyclist who has biked in Croatia, Italy, and France—and is now exploring the best routes across Kansas and Missouri.

Bhubalan Mani, FSCM, CSCP, CSSGB, SCAPro, PSM I

Bhubalan Mani is a senior technology and analytics leader specializing in large-scale supply chain transformation at the intersection of innovation, AI, and enterprise operations. With over two decades of global experience across manufacturing, consulting, and enterprise technology environments, he is recognized for translating complex digital capabilities into practical, sustainable business impact.
 
He currently leads Supply Chain Technology and Analytics initiatives at Garmin, driving enterprise planning modernization, operational resilience, and decision intelligence across global supply networks. His work has accelerated strategic decision cycles and enabled enterprise-wide, data-driven governance across complex operations and inventory ecosystems.
 
Previously, Mani held senior roles with PwC, GE, Oracle, and other global organizations, partnering with executive and engineering teams to modernize ERP platforms, redesign planning architectures, and improve end-to-end performance. His career uniquely spans hands-on delivery and strategic advisory roles, enabling him to bridge vision and execution.
 
An active thought leader and published author, Mani regularly speaks on AI-enabled decision-making, digital transformation, and innovation-driven leadership. He holds Fellowship status with leading global professional organizations, reflecting sustained contributions to advancing enterprise analytics and professional practice.

Rachel Kortkamp

Rachel is an analytical finance professional with over four years of experience in financial operations, reporting, and process improvement. She has managed and reconciled high-volume transactions with a strong focus on accuracy, accountability, and transparency. Outside of her 9–5, Rachel can be found volunteering in her community, getting lost in a good book, perfecting the art of the nap, or showing unwavering loyalty to Chipotle.
 
 

Executive Advisor

Brian Hattaway

Brian has more than 30 years of IT and consulting industry experience. His unique ability to blend technical architecture with process improvement techniques and Salesforce.com platform capabilities make him an invaluable resource to his clients. His career spanned 12 years at Accenture, after which he founded ProCore Resource Group to continue providing technology consulting with a "process first" proprietary methodology. Brian has also founded a software products company, IOLITE Solutions, which is focused on developing and delivering elegant product solutions for customers on the Salesforce.com platform. In his spare time, Brian can be found following his kids as they play competitive video games or NCAA Division I beach volleyball.
